BACKGROUND:
Erin was born and raised in Gridania by a pair of religious zealots who blamed her every failure on a lack of faith in the Elementals. Her parents were originally from a small village in the Werlyt region of Ilsabard. They fled to Gridania after their village was burned to the ground by Garlean soldiers, where they were taken in as refugees. They changed their birth names to something that would better fit in with the people of their new home and began to work as fletchers for the Gods' Quiver, which became the family name.They took up the local faith with a fervor that was rarely seen even amongst native Gridanians. Strict and controlling, Erin's choice to become a Conjurer was met with scorn. Forbidden from leaving Gridania, she grew to be a shy, quiet young woman with books as her only friends. She harbored a deep-seated yearning to see the people and places she'd read about, to escape the sheltered life her parents had forced upon her, which only became worse when her sister took off at the first opportunity.Everything changed when her parents were murdered. She was given into the care of Elizabeth Foy - a master Conjurer - and her wife Emmaline. Under Elizabeth's direct tutelage she flourished, expanding her knowledge of conjury while helping care for the injured that came to be tended by the Fane. The quiet and bookish waif grew to become more of a social butterfly, wide-spread wings brilliantly glittering, though she was still given to bouts of shyness when confronted with crowds of strangers.Training complete, she's left Gridania behind so she can travel and finally see the wonders she's dreamed of for so long. After she spent some time visiting the other city states, Erin travelled to Gridania seeking a new mentor to instruct her further in the ways of spellcraft. She was taken in by the Lord and Lady of House Charlmort.
